About
Our Print Technology:
The images used for most of these prints are derived from a 35mm
positive shot on Fuji slide film, scanned into a computer at very
high resolution, and then digitally re-painted in a paint program.
The images are then printed via an Epson 2200 professional printer
on special archival matt paper using archival inks. Traditional
inkjet inks have a maximum life of 6 to 7 years before noticeable
color change occurs, even in protected conditions. The special inks
and paper used in this print are rated to 140 to 200 years under
similar conditions. However, one should still keep these prints
out of direct sunlight, away from moisture, and covered via Plexiglas
or glass (but not touching such covering) in order to allow these
prints to achieve a colorfast life well beyond that of their owners.
Limited
Editions
All my prints are only available in limited editions, ranging to
50 to 500 prints, depending on the image and size of the image print.
All prints are also individually signed. Prints are typically sold
matted, but can be made available unmatted upon request. Matted
sizes are 5x7, 8x10, and 11x14 (all in inches). Special size requests
can also be made.
